Christmas at the zoo

Today is Christmas in OZ. Since we are here on Christmas and are away from family and seeing as how Christmas is celebrated here as well and everything is closed…the question of what to on Christmas was lingering in the air.

We noticed that one of the zoo’s was open on Christmas day so we though, what better way to spend Christmas down under than to see a bunch of animals roaming around. It was an open range zoo so the animals were really just roaming around, although not like the kangaroos and the wallabies were in our Cairns adventure. We were on a safari bus that took us around. Most of the animals were African animals thought which just made my desire to go on an African safari even greater. Below are some pictures of what we saw!
